The Met office predicts pleasant weather during Ramadan in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), predicts pleasant weather in twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi during the holy month of Ramadan.

Dr Ghulam Rasul, director general of Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) said, “The conditions have been pleasant this year, mainly because of rain showers in April and May”. Dr Rasul added that from the last week of June to the first week of July, rainfall is expected every 4-5 days in Islamabad.

Dr. Rasul said,” the results of climate change are visible as most of the rains in June have been a result of localized weather patterns.” He said, “Apart from twin cities, the rest of the country is expected to remain very hot and dry”.

Regarding the cyclone, he said that the clearance has been given to Sindh and the fishermen across coastal areas.
