Seat belt declared compulsory for Karachiites

KARACHI: Traffic Police made all preparations for crackdown against the traffic violators as they now declared Seat belts declared mandatory for Karachiites while driving their cars.

The citizen could face Rs500 fines if they violated the rule.

Traffic Police post announcement of making mandatory to wear helmets for bike drivers. Hundreds of citizens were caught and fined over not wearing helmets on Karachi roads.

According to Traffic Police, Rs500 fine would be imposed over violating rule for seat belts while Rs150 challan will be imposed over not wearing helmets by motorcycle riders.

Citizens are complaining series of fines by the traffic police, however, implementation of traffic regulations is the only solution to decrease number of accidents
