Adam Voges makes world record on Test debut

DOMINICA: Australian star batsman Adam Voges who made his debut in Test cricket against West Indies, has become the 20th Australian and that oldest player to score a Test ton on debut to put the tourists in complete charge of the first Test against the West Indies.

The 35-year-old played a great hand of unbeaten 130 on his debut to guide the side to 318 in 1st innings at Windsor Park in Dominica.

Voges is currently 35-year and 242-day old to claim the record. Earlier the record was held by the David Houghton of Zimbabwe in 1992 when he made 121 against India at Harare.
