ISLAMABAD – The Leader of Opposition, Khurshid Shah, has said that the performance of parliament has been unsatisfactory.
While commenting on the speech of President Mamnoon Hussain during the joint session of parliament, Khurshid Shah said that the president had read the government written pre-fed speech which was disappointing.
While lauding the revival of international cricket in Pakistan, he further said that the cricket matches should have been held in Karachi rather than Lahore as the former was a comparatively safer venue.
The joint session of the parliament is underway in National Assembly. PM Nawaz Sharif, President Mamnoon Hussain, all the three services chiefs and foreign dignitaries attend the joint session.
President Mamnoon Hussain congratulated the parliament on the completion of another fiscal year by the democratic government.
He said that the country was passing through hardships and that the nation never refrained from contributing their sacrifices.
