MIRANSHAH: Military jets bombarded terrorist hideouts in Shawal tehsil of North Waziristan Agency on Friday, killing at least 17 suspected militants. The killed terrorists also include foreigners. Several militants were also injured in the bombardment of jet fighters.

According to security sources, the aerial strikes targeted four militant dens in Shawal district, also destroying five vehicles belonging to the terrorists.

The air force jets targeted militants’ hideouts on the edge of the Afghan border in the thick mountainous forests in the Wareka Mandi area of Shawal district in North Waziristan tribal region, 65 kilometres (40 miles) west of its capital Miranshah.

The killed militants included Uzbek and Afghan nationals and members of the Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan.
