United Nations Condemned Karachi Massacre

NEW YORK – The United Nations Secretary General Ban-Ki Moon has shown the reservations over deadly massacre of Safoora Goth saying that the government must ensure the protection of minorities.

He said that the government should take effective measures to protect the minorities. He condemned the brutal attack on the bus and expressed solidarity with the bereaved families.

At least 45 people were killed while several others were injured in an incident of firing on a bus near Safoora Chowrangi located in Gulistan-e-Jauhar area of Karachi on Wednesday.

According to the police, some unknown assailants riding on motorcycles opened fire on a bus which left at least 45 people dead including 16 women while several people sustained injuries. Many of the injured are reported to be in critical condition.
