KARACHI – The meeting of a special apex committee has been held Core Headquarters Karachi to review the Safoora Goth carnage.
The attendants of the meeting include Army Chief General Raheel Shareef, DG Inter-services Intelligence (ISI) Lt. General Rizwan Akhtar, DG Military Intelligence, DG Military Operations and DG ISPR.
Governor Sindh, Chief Minister Sindh and Chief Secretary are also attending the meeting.
Around six to ten gunmen opened fire on the bus taking more than 50 passengers from Al-Azhar to Federal Area B.
One of the eye witnesses told that gunmen opened fire indiscriminately and killed 41 people traveling on bus.
The dead includes twenty five men and sixteen women, said hospital sources.
Inspector General (IG) Sindh, Ghulam Haider Jamali, said that around six terrorists went inside the bus and shot the people on their head.
