LAHORE – Federal Minister of Railways while talking to the media gave remarks that it was a mistake on the part of presiding officers and the returning officers and that the punishment had been awarded to him.
He further said that Hamid Khan failed to provide any rigging proof. That is why he had not been disqualified by the court of law.
He told that there are two chances. The tribunal’s decision could be challenged in the Supreme Court or they may go back to the general public for re-election. However, the final decision would be taken by the party leadership.
He further said that he had been a street fighter all his life and was not afraid of going to the public again. While commenting on the decision, he said that the judge has awarded him the punishment of the irregularities committed by the election staff which was totally unfair.
He said that Imran khan was a liar and afraid of true democracy. It was an attempt to put question mark on the democratic norms and there was no need to form judicial commission for the investigation of 2013 elections.
