Karachi – The publisher and distributor of a Dubai based magazine “Hello”, has excused the former President Asif Ali zardari and immediately withdrawn all the copies from shops in Karachi.
They have also removed all the related material available on their website.
The publisher accepted that he had published fake and defamatory material related to the former president.
The distributors as well as the publisher have separately intimated the lawyer of the former president in this regard.
Farooq H. Naik, the lawyer of Asif Zardari, had issued a notice to them on April 13, demanding the immediate withdrawal of the defamatory material and to publish an apology note.
It was allegedly stated in the magazine that Asif Ali Zardari has had a secret marriage. Farooq Naik received the apology notes separately from the distributors and the publisher on April 24.
The publisher Miss Zohra Saif Ullah along with the Karachi based distributor of the magazine “Liberty box” have assured Naik of publishing an apologetic note in the immediate subsequent edition.
They also assured that they would confirm the authenticity of every report prior to publishing. The publisher has requested Farooq H. Naik to withdraw the notice.
