NEPRA issues price cut notification of Rs 4.42 per unit

ISLAMABAD: National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has issued notification of reduction in electricity price by Rs 4.42 per unit.

According to NEPRA, the reduction, which comes under the head of fuel adjustment, was made in February.

The distribution companies have been directed to adjust the price cut in the May billings.

The NEPRA authorities said that for the first time record price cut has been implemented due to reduction in prices of the furnace oil.

However, the customers consuming as many as 50 units per month would not be able to enjoy to the price cut, the authority said.
