KARACHI: Senior Politician Nabil Gabol, who resigned from Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) in February this year, is once again eyeing to join Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) if Asif Ali Zardari leaves the party.
According to Nabeel Gabol, he would join any political party suggested to him by the people of Lyari.
He made these remarks during a visit to Lyari – a stronghold of PPP – where he received a warm welcome.
Nabeel said that he made a mistake joining Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), added that he is eager to serve Lyari again.
Referring to upcoming by-polls in NA-246 constituency, the seat that fell vacant due to his resignation, he said that the constituency is being ruled by the criminals.
“Governor rule could be imposed and elections may get postponed if any untoward incident takes place,” he commented.
Gabol hinted at forming a new political party to serve the people of Lyari instead of joining PPP.
But, he added, he can join PPP if Asif Zardari got rid of ‘rotten eggs’ from the party.
