BEIJING: Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi has lauded the steps taken by Pakistan against terrorism and said that the country is moving in right direction in curbing the menace of terrorism.
He was talking to Punjab Chief Minister Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif in Beijing on Wednesday. Bilateral relations, matters of mutual understanding and cooperation in different fields between the two countries was discussed during in the meeting.
The Chinese Foreign Minister said that China is with Pakistan in journey of progress. He said the Chinese people consider the problems of Pakistan as their own and every possible cooperation would be extended for the resolution of problems facing by Pakistan.
Speaking on the occasion, Shahbaz Sharif said China-Pak Economic Corridor will open new chapter in relations between Pakistan and China. He China has always backed Pakistan in the hour of trial. He said both counties have supported each other in matters relating to regional and international level. He said Pakistan will never forget the cooperation of China extended in the exploration of mineral resources at Rajua area of Chiniot in Punjab.
He said the Pakistani people are eagerly waiting for Chinese President’s visit to Islamabad. Shahbaz Sharif also attended the fourth meeting of joint cooperation committee of Pakistan-China Economic corridor. While addressing the meeting Shahbaz Sharif said that Pak-China Economic corridor positive changes in the region. He said this project reposes confidence of Chinese leadership on Pakistani current leadership. He said this project would provide job opportunities for thousands of people.
