LAHORE: After the allegations on Najam Sethi and other Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) officials, the board has decided to fire Sarfaraz Nawaz from the bowling consultancy designation.
Earlier, the PCB had sent legal notices to ex-cricketer Sarfraz Nawaz, ex-Chairmen PCB Ijaz Butt and Khalid Mahmood, ex-cricketer Aamir Sohail and PMLQ politician Kamil Ali asking them to apologise to the PCB and Executive Committee chairman Najam Sethi for defaming and slandering them with lies.
The board gave 14 days to these guys to reply the legal notices otherwise proceedings of defamation will be started in the court of law.
The defamation notice said that the above persons had maliciously and falsely accused Najam Sethi of working with Moin Khan to fix matches and bet on them.
PCB officials alleged that all five people to whom notices have been issued have been engaged in a deliberate and motivated conspiracy to undermine the PCB and the Pak Team and various PCB officials.
Sarfaraz Nawaz is the bowling consultant of North Zone of the PCB and his agreement will be ended on March 13.
