Muhammad Yousuf says Pakistan will make it to quarter final

KARACHI: Former skipper and batting great Mohammad Yousuf  is confidant that Pakistan would make it to final eights despite the national team poor show in the opening two matches.

Talking in a Geo News programme after Pakistan routed UAE in Pool B, the former stylish batsman said that he was confidant that Pakistan would reach quarter final of the ICC world cup.

He said that the ear world cup starts from quarterfinal stage, adding that Pakistani players needed to be positive in their next game against the Pool B’s tournament favourite South Africa.

After suffering embarrassing defeats against arch-rival India and mercurial West Indies, Pakistan have so far kept alive their hope of advancing to quarter final of the show piece event with two back-to-back victory against Zimbabwe and UAE.

He said that Pakistan will easily win its match against Ireland, saying that the Irish side’s bowling was very weak.
