Contempt of Court petition against PM Nawaz

ISLAMABAD: A petition of Contempt of Court was filed against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in the Supreme Court (SC) over not conducting the local bodies elections in Pakistan.

According to reports, advocate Rab Nawaz has filed that petition during the hearing of local bodies elections case in the court.

In that petition, the applicant stated that contempt of court notice should be sent to PM Nawaz ho haven’t contested the election despite the order of SC.

However, the court hasn’t sent the notice yet but attorney general will assist the court on this matter.
