Govt delays voting on 21st amendment in NA till Tuesday

ISLAMABAD: Voting scheduled on Monday in National Assembly (NA)  on 21st amendment in constitution has been delayed till on Tuesday (Tomorrow).

Delayed in voting was suggested by Jamiat Ulmae Islam Fazal (JUI-F) chief Molana Fazal Ur Rehman to the government who before session of NA in a press conference has expressed reservation on the amendment.

The JUI-F who is key ally of the government, the government accepting his suggestion has delayed the voting till tomorrow Tuesday.

The House has to pass the Constitution (Twenty-first Amendment) bill 2015 and Pakistan Army (Amendment) bill 2015 to amend the Army Act 1952.

The two bills were moved by Minister for Law, Justice and Human Rights Pervaiz Rashid on Saturday.

The bills are aimed at speedy trial of offences relating to terrorism, waging of war or insurrection against Pakistan and prevention of acts threatening the security of the country.

Discussion on the incident of attack by terrorists on Army Public School in Peshawar is on also on the Order of the Day for tomorrow.

The Senate will also resume its session in Islamabad tomorrow afternoon at three after two days break.

The House will transact private members business.
