PESHAWAR: As many as seven suspected militants were killed while three others injured including a foreign commander in US drone attacks in North Waziristan on Friday, local media reported.
US unmanned plane fired two missile on a compound reportedly belonging to a militant Uzbek commander Usman situated in Shawal area of the tribal agency North Waziristan.
At least seven persons were killed in the unmanned aerial attack while some reports claimed that three more got injured in the drone strike.
The suspected militants were belonged to outlawed militant group Hafiz Gul Bahadur which were targeted in the attack.
Earlier on December 26, As many as seven suspected militants including three foreigners had been killed in two US drone attacks in North Waziristan on Friday. The first strike took place near the Kund area of Shawal and killed four suspected.
The attack took place on a compound in which Punjabi Taliban commander Qari Imran was targeted. The strike left four militants dead but there was no confirmation as to whether Qari was killed in the attack.
The second strike took place in the Mangroti area of Shawal where three suspected militants of Uzbek origin were dead.
