LoC violation: Indian forces resort to unprovoked firing kills one, two injured

LAHORE: Indian forces once again violated ceasefire on Line of Control (LoC) as resorted to unprovoked firing on Zafarwal Sector of Pakistan on Saturday, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.

According to reports, Indian forces used heavy weapons in the incident, and killed 16 year-old girl identified as Sumaira while injured an 8 year-old child Mohammad Salima and a Chenab Rangers soldier.

LoC tensions aroused again after another incident of indiscriminate firing resorted to by Indian security forces at Zafarwal Sector. Pakistani border security forces have made tough retaliation over the attack, ISPR said.

The latest incident occurred two day ahead of previous attack when two Pakistani Rangers officials were injured and later martyred by Indian forces’ indiscriminate attack on December 31 amid call of Flag Meeting between Pakistan and India.

On December 31, Indian forces have resorted to unprovoked firing and injured two Punjab Rangers officers ahead of Flag meeting at 11 am in Shakargarh sector, local media reported.

A Punjab Rangers spokesperson said that Indian border forces resorted to unprovoked firing ahead of FLAG meeting and injured two officers.
