PESHAWAR: Niaz Mohammad was hanged to death in Central Jail Peshawar, local media reported on Wednesday.
Niaz was shifted from Central Jail Haripur on Tuesday (last night) under tight security and was hanged at 6:30 am.
The convict was offered to record his last statement after being declared ‘healthy’ for execution by doctors, reports revealed.

Relatives of the criminal were present outside the Central Jail where the terrorist was hanged to death. However, no official statement came up whether the dead body to be handed over to the relatives or not.
Niaz Mohammad was involved in an attack on former Chief of Army staff General Pervez Musharraf.
Arshad Meherban who had attacked former military ruler Pervez Musharraf was executed earlier this month after the government decided to lift the moratorium on the capital punishment.
Niaz belonged to Swabi, the capital of Swabi District in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
