LAHORE: Pakistan on Friday said that it would not play any more Kabaddi matches in India unless the game rules were changed.
Director General Punjab Sports Board Usman Anwar said that in World Cup Kabaddi final, Indian umpire gave some 13 decisions against Pakistan which robbed it of the world title.
He said that Indian Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Sing Badal had promised complete investigation into Pakistan’s complaints and had said that if the complaints were found to be true, the world title would be given to Pakistan.
Usman said that Pakistani played well in the final but were deprived of the title through wrong and biased decisions by the Indian umpires.
He said that Pakistan wanted to promote Kabaddi in the world and decision on merits would promote the game.
Usman Anwar said that before World Cup, Pakistan had written letter to India for appointing neutral umpire to officiate the matches, but Indian officials rejected the request.
