ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday called a meeting of parliamentary leaders to finalise the national action plan to counter terrorism to be held at Prime Minister House on Wednesday.
The national action plan aimed at countering terrorism and extremism has been prepared by a parliamentary committee in consensus with all political stakeholders in the country.
According to media reports, Â Prime Minister Nawaz would also consult Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif regarding the national action plan and the parliamentary leaders’ meeting .
Meanwhile, the meeting of the national action plan committee is underway at Parliament House, with  members of all parliamentary parties in attendance. Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan is presiding the meeting.
The recommendations prepared by anti-terrorism working group of counter-terror experts is being discussed in the meeting.
