LHC rejects PAT workers’ petition seeking bail

LAHORE: Lahore High Court (LHC), while rejecting the petition of 10 members of Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) seeking bail, has ordered for moving to trial court.

Three-member bench of the Lahore high Court on Tuesday conducted hearing of the petition.

The 10 accused including Abid Hussain, Waqas and Abdul Rehman contended in the petition that police registered the case against them on the political grounds, saying that they have nothing to do with the incidents and therefore, their bails should be accepted.

The court after completion of the arguments rejected the petition and ordered to move the trial court.

It is pertinent to mention here that a case was registered against the workers of PAT on allegations of murdering two police officials and sabotaging in Bhera.
