LAHORE: Pakistan Kabadi team was given rousing welcome at Wahgah border upon return from India after playing Kabaddi World Cup.
Rose petals were showered over the team members, when they entered Pakistan at Wahgah border. Officer-bearers of Pakistan Kabaddi Federation and other received the team.
Talking to newsmen, Pakistan captain Shafiq Chishti said that what had happened to them in India was deplorable. He called for ensuring fair play and observing rules of the games, instead of resorting to unfair means and tactics in a bid to keep the world tile in India.
Pakistan lost to India in the final of Kabaddi World Cup, as the losing players accused Indian referees and administration of using unfair means and tactics to keep the world title in India.
At the prize distribution ceremony, Pakistan captain Shafiq Chishti alleged that the match was abruptly ended before the allotted time when Indian team first time took lead in the match.
He had also complained of unfair treatments by the referees and security men at the stadium.
