Imran acknowledges making a mistake in Karachi lock-down

LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan on Saturday acknowledged that they made a mistake in Karachi, as some of party supporters misbehaved media during the party call for lock-down of the industrial hub of the country in connection with its ongoing anti-government movement.

Addressing party workers in Lahore, Imran hailed PTI’s success in shutting down the port city without employing any violent tactic or using force. “However, we made a mistake as someone from our supporters misbehaved with media in Karachi, which should have not been done,” he added.

He directed party workers and supporter not to misbehave with media in Lahore during its lock-down call on December 15, saying that they should protect media as its has important role in creating awareness about real democracy in the country.

It is to be mentioned here that some PTI workers and supporters misbehaved with media men associated with private Geo News TV and threw bottles and sticks over Geo reporters and senior anchorpersons.
