DUBAI: New Zealand Skipper Kane Williamson and Sri Lankan off-spinner Sachithra Senanayake have cleared their bowling actions, local media reported on Tuesday.
According to reports, both spinners were banned from bowling in international cricket in July 2014.
Senanayake’s who was Sri Lanka’s most successful and economical bowler in the one-day series against England, has been banned from bowling in international cricket after he was found to have an illegal action in Lord’s were deemed to be in breach of the 15-degree elbow extension permitted under International Cricket Council rules.
On the other hand Williamson was banned in the second Test against West Indies.
Currently Two Pakistani spinner Saeed Ajmal and Mohammad Hafeez is facing ICC’s ban, while Ajmal will give a review test to ICC before ICC World Cup 2015.
