PTI, PML-N clash: Two protesters injured in Faisalabad

FAISALABAD: Two protesters were injured in a clash between Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) workers at Novelty Pull Chowk on Monday.

According to reports, the injured protesters were members of  PTI.

The injured were shifted to Allied Hospital Faisalabad where they were reportedly in critical condition. The PTI workers torched tires to protest against the government.

PML-N and PTI workers started throwing stones and raising slogans against each others. A man reportedly opened fire on PTI workers while police acted as silent spectator and did not take any action.

Police used water cannon, tear gas and resorted to baton charge to disperse PTI and PML-N workers. Police also used aerial firing to maintain law and order in the city.
