Protest venue finalised for PTI march in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: Consensus has finally been made between local administration and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to decide protest venue in Islamabad on November 30, Express News reported on Wednesday night.

Islamabad administration and PTI agreed on protest venue said to be ‘finalised opposite D-Chowk ground’ including some conditions needed to be followed by the demonstrators.

According to reports, Islamabad administration agreed to allow public gathering in a ground located just opposite to the D-Chowk and directed to clear the debris of recently under construction Metro Bus project.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) allowed to hold public protest on the venue by accepting few conditions including peaceful demonstration on the venue but far away from Shahrah-e-Dastoor and own stage arrangements.

Reports said the administration placed the conditions that Shahrah-e-Dastoor must not be reached by the protestors; the political party will not used security containers as stage.

On the other hand, differences emerged amongst PTI heads during core committee meeting over finalisation of protest venue in Islamabad as chief organiser Saifullah Niazi reportedly insisted to lodge sit-ins on Shahrah-e-Dastoor.

Moreover, majority votes were gone in favour to change the venue for November 30 march in the federal capital Islamabad.

Imran Khan would announce the final decision regarding venue on Friday.
