Sindh govt extends Rangers special power for three months

KARACHI: Sindh government has extended Rangers special power for three months in Karachi on Saturday, November 8.

According to reports, Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah has issued the notification. Rangers have been spearheading a joint operation against criminal gangs in the city, many of which are patronised by political parties. They have rounded up thousands of men in search operations and framed charges against a large number of them. This has led to some decrease in killings of religious and political workers, but street crimes have not come down.
