PESHAWAR: Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) coalition government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, (KP) has announced to reduce public transport fares by 10 to 15%, TheNewsTribe.com reported.
According to the correspondent from KP, Malik Shah Muhammad, Advisor to Chief Minister, Pervez Khattak, told the media that the change will be implemented in full spirit.
KP Government also planning to build G.T Road transport complex in capital city, Peshawar. The funds of Rs. 2 Billion have been allocated for the project, said Shah Muhammad.
On October 30, Prime Ministe Nawaz Sharif had announced to reduce Petrol price by 9.43.
Despite the strict measures of provincial governments and Pakistani premier instructions to reduce public transport fares, the benefit is yet to be transferred to people as majority of public transport using CNG and Diesel as a fuel.
Transport bodies in PPP ruled Sindh and PMLN ruled Punjab have ordered to reduce fares by 5-10%.
