Pakistan take major step for 2nd Test against Australia

ABU DHABI: Pakistan has decided to retain their winning squad in the second Test match against Australia, which was scheduled at Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi from October 30.

According to a foreign news agency APP, the selection committee recommended Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Shehryar Khan to retain the squad for second Test against Australia.

Pakistan’s winning squad defeated Australia by 221 runs in the first Test match at Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

Chief selector Moin Khan said that he board would make the final announcement for 11 players after seeing the pitch situation on Thursday, October 30.

“Selectors are happy with Pakistan’s performance but the credit should be given to Younis Khan who knocked two centuries in the two innings of Test match,” Moin said.
