ISLAMABAD: Renowned anchorperson Asma Shirazi has joined the upcoming BOL media group, TheNewsTribe.com reported.
According to the reports, Asma Shirazi, who has recently been awarded Peter Mackler Award for Courageous & Ethical Journalism, joined the media group as an Executive Vice President and senior anchorperson.
The female journalist was honoured for courageous reporting on Thursday (October 23, 2014) at a ceremony in Washington. Shirazi while receiving the award said that she dedicated it to the unsung heroes of journalism in Pakistan who sacrificed their lives for cause of their profession.
Its is to be mentioned here that of late several senior journalists and anchorpersons have joined the group which is expected to come on air by the end of this year or early next year. Among those prominent media figures who have joined BOL TV are Azhar Abbas, Iftikhar Ahmed, Kamran Khan, Wasim Badami, Nadeem Raza and others.
