Turkey refutes air base deal with U.S. against ISIS

ANKARA: Turkey has refuted any deal with the United States (U.S.) for use of one of its air base for action against Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS).

US National Security Adviser Susan Rice had said that Turkey agreed to let US use its military base against ISIS.

“There is no decision at the moment regarding Incirlik or any other issue,” Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu told state-run Andalou Agency, referring to a key air base in southern Turkey.

More than 553 have been killed in recent months in fights against ISIS near the southern border of Turkey and Syria.
