Islamabad: Prime Minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif said on Monday that Pakistan’s macro economic indicators had registered improvement in recent months following the incumbent government’s prudent policies.
Talking to a US Senators’ delegation, which called on him in Islamabad, he said that the cancellation of secretaries’ level talks by India was deplorable. He underlined the need of resolving the longstanding Kashmir dispute as per the UN Security Council resolution.
He said that Pakistan and India could move forward by resolving their outstanding disputes through dialogue.
The Prime Minister told the US Senators that Pakistan wanted positive and cordial relations with all its neighbours including India.
Talking about the priorities of his government, Nawaz said that the government was working to promote economy and trade.
