Pakistan to approach UN over Indian aggression: Ch Nisar

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Friday announced that Pakistan would write to United Nations over Indian aggression at working boundary in Sialkot and Line of Control (LoC) in Kashmir, which has killed more than 13 civilians in Sialkot and Kashmir.

Addressing a press conference in Islamabad, Nisar said that the government would gear up diplomatic efforts to apprise international community and important world players about the Indian aggression. He said that the government would also raise outstanding issues in its letter to the UN.

He further said that foreign diplomats stationed in Islamabad would be invited to Foreign Office for briefing on the ongoing situation at working boundary and LoC.

Reiterating the government policy, Nisar said that Pakistan believed in dialogue for resolving outstanding issues and disputes. He said that the armed forces of the country were capable enough to give a befitting reply to any aggression. He added that the army had responded effectively to the unprovoked firing by Indian army at international border and LoC.

The minister, who was accompanied by Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid, said that Pakistan would not accept any country’s hegemony in the region.
