HYDERABAD: Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) defeated Hobart Hurricanes (HH) by 7 wickets in first semifinal of Champions League T20 on Friday at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium.
Kolkata chased down the respectable 141 runs total with 7 wickets to spare. KKR lost 2 wickets early in the inning but young Manish Pandey and Jacques Kallis batted responsibly to guide the team towards victory mark.
However Pandey after scoring 40 runs lost his wicket while Kellis’s 54Â runs made shore that KKR cross the winning line.
Doug Bollinger took two one wickets for Hobart Hurricanes.
Earlier Hobart Hurricanes batting first posted respectable total of 140 runs thanks to responsible batting by Shoaib Malik and Ben Dunk.
Ben Dunk made 39 runs while Malik played unbeaten knock of 66 runs.
Sunil Narine picked up 1 wicket for Kolkata Knight Riders.
