Election Tribuanls submit last election complaints details to ECP

ISLAMABAD: The Election tribunals (ETs) all over the country submitted their findings for election complaints lodged for May 2013 general elections and their verdict to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Thursday.

According to the details, ETs had approved as many as 17 complaints for election rigging probe and in 16 constituencies complaints rigging of different nature was proved.

The ETs report said that organized rigging was proved in 11 constituencies whereas partial rigging proved in five constituencies and in one constituency re-polling was ordered.

The report also stated that re-election was ordered in 11 constituencies after annulling the results, where rigging was proved.

It is interesting to note that ECP itself had declared that no organized rigging was carried out in the last general elections.
