Punjab govt regularizes contractual health workers

LAHORE: Following the example set by Sindh, the Punjab government has regularized the services of 52,000 lady health workers and other personnel of the health department.

Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Shahbaz Sharif distributed regularization letters to the staff in a ceremony in Lahore on Sunday (today).

Addressing on the occasion, the CM praised the services of lady health workers for providing standard healthcare to mothers and children.

Shahbaz urged them to play more active role for controlling dengue fever and other epidemic diseases.

The Chief Minister said the government will arrange professional training for all health workers and that all their genuine demands will be fulfilled.
