Athara Hazari flood victims not to be charged for electricity: Nawaz Sharif

JHANG: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said it’s the government’s duty to help the flood-affected people.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, while addressing flood-affected people at Athara Hazari in Jhang district on Saturday (today), said the government would not rest till complete rehabilitation of flood-hit people.

On this occasion he announced the government would not charge the flood victims of Athara Hazari for electricity.

He said the federal and provincial governments were working together for the relief of the flood victims.

Nawaz said those whose houses had been damaged by the flood would be fully compensated.

He was briefed about the relief operations in Jhang during the visit.
