West Indies beats Bangladesh by 10 wickets

ST-VINCENT: West Indies defeated Bangladesh by 10 wickets in first test of the Dhaka Bank series played at Arnos Vale Ground on Tuesday.

West Indies got just 13 runs target in the second innings which team achieved easily without losing any wicket.

Chris Gayle scored 9 runs while double century maker in the first innings, Kraigg Brathwaite scored 4 runs.

Earlier, Bangladesh won the toss and elected to field first, Kraigg Brathwaite of West Indies played a brilliant knock of 212 runs while senior pro, Shivnarine Chanderpaul scored un beaten 85 runs before skipper Denash Ramdin declared the first innings on 484 runs just losing 7 wickets.

Visitors in reply, all out on 182 runs with Mominul Haque scored 1 runs while skipper Mushfiqur Rahim scored un beaten 48 runs.

Sulieman Benn took 5 wickets for West Indies.

West Indies puts Bangladesh to follow on, this time visitors manage to score 314 runs losing all the wickets.

Muushfiqur Rahim once again played a captains knock of 11 runs with Muhamudullah’s 66 runs contribution taking the lead of 13 runs.

Kemar Roach took 4 wickets for the home side.
