ISLAMABAD: Pakistan foreign office (FO) has issued a clarification regarding Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif mangoes gift to Indian counterpart Narendra Modi.
According to the FO, Pakistani premier has sent mangoes not only to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi but he also sent mangoes gifts to as many as 21 head of states.
Earlier it was reported in media that despite tense political situation in the country Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has sent gift to his Indian counterpart.
According to the report, the Pakistani Premier has sent mangoes as a gift to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Sindhri and Chaunsa mangoes have been sent to Indian Prime Minister.
Indian media said that with mangoes gift, it has been tried to improve Pakistan India relations.
Indian government also had cancelled scheduled secretary level talks in August, on just objection to Pakistan’s ambassador to India, Abdul Basit meet up with Kashmiri leadership.
Earlier on September 1, an Indian Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh threatened the Pakistan that ‘white flag will not be shown anymore if ceasefire violated on Line of Control (LoC) by Pakistan’.
Rajnath Singh said that Indian security forces have directed to retaliate rapidly over ceasefire violations by Pakistan.
