LHC rejects petition to implement court orders for Model Town Incident

LAHORE: Lahore High Court (LHC) disposed of a petition seeking implementation of court orders on Model Town Incident on Tuesday.

A petitioner had filed a petition in the LHC to implement session court orders given in Model Town Incident.

The LHC Judge Justice Mehmood Maqbool Bajwa rejected the petition terming the petitioner as non affected party of the case.

As per orders of session court cases have to be registered against as many as 21 personalities involved in Model Town Incident.

In Model Town Incident which occurred on June 17 as many as 14 persons were killed including women in the straight firing of the police on the protesters belonging to Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT).
