Pakistan govt fails to implement SC orders

ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court of Pakistan orders for clearing the Shahrah-e-Dastoor as judges reportedly used alternate way to reach the SC building.

SC judges once again failed to reach the court’s building via Shahrah-e-Dastoor and cabinet division highway as an alternative path due to Islamabad protests.

Earlier, a five-member bench of SC headed by Chief Justice Nasir-ul-Mulk ordered the federal government to clear Shahra-e-Dastoor.

However, the federal authorities have failed to implement the SC orders as the roads are still blocked due to protests of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT).

Speculations of crackdowns also started after Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar’s visit to the Red Zone and deployment of fresh contingents of Punjab police on the highway.

It is noteworthy to mention here that political situation of the country became more intense as Tahirul Qadri-led PAT had announced 48-hour deadline to the federal government.
