LAHORE: Pakistan Awami Tehreek Chief Dr Tahirul Qadri on Friday asked his workers and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf activists to unite if he or Imran Khan make a ‘deal’.
Addressing a press conference, he said that workers of both the parties should continue their journey to the destination in case leader of one party or the other made deal, adding that if he strikes deal then PAT workers should join PTI and if Imran Khan strikes deal with anyone then the PTI workers should join his leadership for brining change and revolution in the country.
He said that Model Town of Lahore had been turned into Gaza and Karbala and shots are being fired to stop caravans of party workers. He said that the water and food items have been stopped for Model Town residents.
Qadri said that government of Hitler and Mussolini was in place in Punjab which had removed security of Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and Pervez Elahi.
Tahirul Qadri condemned the government for ‘victimization’ of his workers.
“The rulers have proved themselves as Yazid of present era. Police have blocked food supplies of workers. Our supporters are being arrested and harassed over the past three days,” said the PAT chief.
Dozens of PAT workers, men and women, are camping in a small ground outside Qadri’s residence in Model Town. Their number is growing day by day as party is proving them three meals every day.
Qadri asks civil society and residents of Model Town to come forward and provide food and water to the PAT workers. He said that the rights of the people of Punjab are being violated. He said the Punjab police have closed borders with three provinces to stop PAT workers from taking part in the Youme-e-Shuhada. He said the workers of PAT are being arrested in Punjab. He said no one stop PAT from observing youme-e-shuhada. He said that no one could stop revolution in country.
