ISLAMABAD: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has met Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Opposition Leader in National Assembly Khursheed Shah amid hot political weather in Pakistan.
MQM delegation reached the federal capital Islamabad on invitation of PM Nawaz Sharif in order to hold discussion on protests announced on August 14, the independence day of Pakistan.
The delegation reportedly comprising of senior leader of the political party including Farooq Sattar, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Barrister Saif and Abdul Rasheed Godil.
During the meeting with Pakistani premier, MQM suggested to call All Parties Conference (APC) to resolve all issues on table.
MQM reiterated that protests and sit-ins are right of any political party while invitation of negotiations before sit-ins is the positive move.
The MQM delegation assured for provision of maximum support to the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PMLN) led federal government and offered to play role for finding a political solution in the issues.
The delegation members praised the Prime Minister’s policy on finding each solution via talks.
Moreover, the delegation also held meeting with Opposition Leader in NA Syed Khursheed Shah and discussed the current political crisis in the country.
Khursheed Shah said during a press conference that crackdowns and raids are not good sign from federal government.
Shah said that the Pakistan has to give good message to the World on its Independence Day to be celebrated on August 14.
