Eight soldiers killed, six injured in Jamud check-post attack

PESHAWAR: At least eight security personals killed on Friday in militants attack on check-post in Jamud area of the Khyber tribal region, local media reported.

According to Dawn news, more than a dozen militants attacked at the Frontier Corps and patrolling party and check-post in Jamrud’s Gundi area.

The grueling gun-battle continued for over two hours, in which at least eight soldiers were killed and three others were injured in the attack, according to reports.

The security forces also claimed to have killed a number of terrorists, but the exact number of casualties could not be verified till yet.
