ISLAMABAD: Pakistan analysts have welcomed Nawaz Sharif and Narendra Modi’s meeting but they all agree that one meeting could not solve issues between the two countries.
Analyst Zafar Hilali said that we should not expect much from Modi. And one meeting is not enough to bring everything back to track. Pakistan has initiated many meetings with India in past too but still both the countries could not follow a peaceful path.
Former foreign secretary Salman Bashir said that Modi was anti-Pakistan during his electoral campaign but after taking hold of Prime Minister’s office, he realized that region’s stability is very important for the progress of any country.
