ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Finance on Monday asked Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to return Rs3 billion issued for holding of local government elections in all provinces.
On the other hand, the ECP has replied that it has to pay pending amount of General Elections 2013 to the Army and National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA).
The ECP stated that Rs 450 million will be paid to Nadra while Rs 310 million will be given to Pakistan Army.
In a letter writer to ECP, the ministry said pending amount of general election expenditures will be issued separately. However the ECP is awaiting the response of the minister over its response.
