LAHORE: Pakistan’s federal railway minister Khawaja Saad Rafique claimed that the Pakistan Railways during the last 10 months of PML-N government’s period earned Rs5.25 billion more as compared to the same period previous year.
He said that this positive change came about due to reduction in fare, departmental discipline, transparent sale of the scraps and restoration of the goods trains.
The federal railway minister claimed that the four senior politicians in the past had held the portfolio of railways, but all of them failed to bring the railway back on track.
Saad Rafique also announced running shuttle service on different routes and the increase of bogies in several trains especially those on Narowal section for the convenience and comfort of the people.
When asked about Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan’s criticism of his party led government, Saad replied that he has not time to listen to Imran Khan’s press conference and will like to focus on work as people have trusted PML-N for their work and he will like to work.
