LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan on Wednesday claimed that 11 May protest will be peaceful and the demands presented will represent the hope and aspirations of all Pakistanis.
Speaking at a press conference in Lahore, The PTI chief said that his protest can only threaten democracy in the country, if there is a democratic government in place.
“A government which came into power after rigged elections, cannot call itself democratic” said an angry Imran Khan.
The PTI chief said that he expected free and fair elections under free judiciary and then CJP Iftikhar Chaudhry but sadly it did not happen.
He lamented that PTI only wanted to scrutinize rigging allegations in 4 constituencies but none paid heed to their demands and now he himself had to come to Lahore High Court to present facts before the whole nation.
PTI chief demanded that all those who stole the mandate of people of Pakistan, be tried for treason under Article 6 of the constitution.
About the Geo media group, Imran Khan said that the media house is doing his character assassination and he will chase Geo’s owner Mir Shakeel till Dubai.
He reiterated that he respects judiciary and will resist any move against the respected institution.
