ISLAMABAD: Banned militant outfit in Pakistan, Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), has demanded the Major (retd) Amir, to take back his decision of resigning as member of Pakistan committee holding dialogues, local media reported.
Reports quoting closer sources, detailed that TTP demands Major (retd.) Amir for taking back his decision to resign from its position in the peace dialogues.
Prominent member of Taliban-led committee, Maulana Sami-ul-Haq and Pakistan’s Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar also contacted Major Retd. Amir; demanding to review the decision of resignation.
Former military officer Major (retd) Amir of Pakistan Army, who had dissociated himself from the ongoing peace dialogue process between Pakistan government and banned militant outfit Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) after having severe concerns.
Major (r) Amir had issued his statement in Islamabad a day ago; saying, “I have to say with regret that some negotiators are using this dialogue process for their political mileage”
According to reports, Major Amir was disappointed after reconstitution of the government committee which resulted in the exclusion of his name.
